Why You Need CO Detectors and How Often They Need Replacement

If your house uses natural gas in any way, you must have CO detectors to alert you in case of a toxic gas leak from a pipe or faulty appliance. Carbon monoxide is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, which is why it’s necessary to have special detection to alert you to its presence. We recommend replacing your CO detectors every 5 to 7 years.
